Pitchfork Music Festival 2022 • Visual Diary

Photography by Iman Music, Ellie Naughton and Halle Mohr

This year at Pitchfork, our editors at These Days arrived equipped with some film and three iPhone cameras. From festival attendees to our favorite Chicago artists in action, they have curated a visual diary of everything happening on and around the Red, Green, and Blue stages. Through rain and shine, a sense of community radiated through the crowd. See our photos below for a glimpse into the festival!

Jamie

What has been your favorite part of Pitchfork today?

Jamie: We’re only here for Friday and we’re here for Parquet Courts and that was the best part.

Hella and Taylor

What brought y’all to Pitchfork and who are you most excited to see?

Hella: I’m looking forward to seeing Noname, The Roots, Toro y Moi, Earl Sweatshirt. Also, my family is here, so it’s also a time to meet with community, see people you know, and see artists you don’t always get to see at regular festivals.

Taylor: I think Pitchfork is such a great entrata to, not just the culture [of Chicago], but you get such an intimacy that isn’t as noisy and chaotic as other festivals. I love the comfort. You get the Chicago energy.
