Update: The Localvores return in part two of this month's ChiBrations artist spotlight. Opening November with their take on Taj Mahal's "Queen Bee", the trio follow up with a brand new original song called "Intentions". On top of that, they will be releasing an EP in the near future, untitled and date TBD. Scare info, yes, but that's more than fine with us. Localvores has been nothing but quality time and time again, and you can count on the same for this mystery EP, something any Chicago music fan should be eagerly awaiting.

After taking a hiatus in October, ChiBrations is back for November and to make up for lost time they've brought along a trio to introduce you to. A localvore is someone who eats only local food sources, but in this case, it's three friends who have made music together for years deciding to renew and old flame and give the Localvores another try. Life has taken them different places, but Charles 'NumbChuck' Williams (guitar/vocals), Joel Masters (Bass) and Pete Tashjian (Drums) continue to drift back into each other's lives, the result of a bond that is evident during the time the ChiBrations crew spent with them.

Kicking off ChiBrations November edition, the Localvores have chosen to perform "Queen Bee" by Taj Mahal, a song they describe as helping them find their own sound as a group. Just like they said, the late 70's jam with its blues and reggae roots shine through in the Localvores own music, all of which you can catch up with on their Soundcloud. With only a handful of tracks out there in the world, the Localvores are anxious to release some new music, but take this time to get familiar with them as a band in the intro above, and admire their rendition of "Queen Bee" below.
