Looking Ahead • Mamby on the Beach

It's that time of year again, Chicago festival season is upon us and Mamby on the Beach has a stacked two day lineup to get you started. Located at Oakwood Beach on Chicago's southside, this relatively new music festival has continued to grow over the past several years and 2017 is its biggest celebration yet. Check out our schedule below, but head over to mambybeach.com to see the full lineup and make a customized schedule for yourself.

Day 1

It's Saturday, you're feeling fresh and ready to kick off Chicago's 2017 festival season. Doors open at 12:00pm at React Presents Mamby on the Beach festival this year, and you'll want to be prompt. Get the lay of the land (use the map below for guidance) and check out all this years festival has to offer. Good food, beach cabanas and unique installations are all waiting for you at Oakwood beach. We'll be bouncing back and forth between the two main stages in the early part of the afternoon as our Chicago friends oddCouple, Ravyn Lenae, Saba and BJ The Chicago Kid represent Saturday's local talent. We're also pretty excited to see Atlanta's Raury, LA's Local Natives and capping off the evening with psych rock outfit MGMT from Connecticut. It's supposed to be beautiful weather out there all day today. Dress accordingly and stay hydrated, it's going to be a long day.

Following shortly after, is another local act and current internet sensation Sir The Baptist and the ChurchPpl. Skipping church to go to Mamby this week? This set is a good compromise. The rest of the afternoon is also filled with a healthy variety of acts. Sango, STRFKR, Thundercat and Cut Copy fill out the afternoon and evening hours leading up to Flying Lotus closing out your weekend. Not a day you want to miss.
