Chance The Rapper to Appear on Pharrell and Scott Vener's Beats 1 Radio Show on Apple Music

Chance The Rapper will appear as a guest on Pharrell and Scott Vener's Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music this Sunday, February 7th at 2:00PM CST. The show titled OTHERtone is hosted by veteran music supervisor Scott Vener and super producer Pharrell Williams. With Chance The Rapper's third mixtape rumored to be on it's way, this maybe a platform and opportunity to hear new music. In anticipation of the show, Vener tweeted the the episode "gets deep" and features an image quoting Chance saying "I am trying to lead a change."

A 2-min video clip from the interview was also released where Chance speaks on the value of music while also shouting out Chicago artists Saba and Noname Gypsy. Past guests on OTHERtone have included Tyler The Creator, Missy Elliot, Aziz Ansari, DJ Khaled, HAIM, Cara Delivigne and more. Listeners can tune in at Apple.com/Music or via OTHERtone's Apple Music Connect page.

Update: An additional preview clip has been added where Chance talks about fatherhood. Chance also hints that he played 'the tape' for Pharrell and sings the line "Are you ready for your blessing, are you ready for your miracle." It maybe a reference to the Gospel song "Let The Praise Begin" by Fred Hammond & RFC.

The most recent long form interviews with Chance include his WGCI interview in December 2015 to promote his coat drive and an appearance on Hot 97 in October 2015 where he talked about fatherhood, Black Lives Matter and his then looming performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Vener is the music supervisor behind HBO series Entourage, Ballers and How To Make It In America. In related Chance HBO news, The Rapper recently tweeted that he hosted a Chicago premiere for the upcoming series Vinyl, directed my Martin Scorcese and Executive Produced by Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones. Vinyl premieres on HBO on Sunday, February 14th at 10:00PM CST.
