Whitney is less than a year old, but the Chicago outfit has quickly become one of our favorites in a local indie scene that has recently seen some promising new life. Following the disbandment of a couple other bands, the six-piece Whitney was formed and is currently in the midst of creating their debut project. No release date has been issued, but the group has said we could see something as soon as spring of this year. For their latest preview of Whitney's untitled introduction, the guys escape the city and take to the wilderness for inspiration and good old fashioned team building. The quiet and remote backdrop is a perfect setting for "No Woman", a song that begs further reflection. Relatable and sonically pleasing, Julien Ehrlich and Whitney serve up another victory.
