G Herbo (Ft. Lil Bibby) • "Don't Worry"

Directed by Ivan Berrios

Could G Herbo or Lil Bibby have had a better conclusion to 2015? Bibby dropped the biggest and baddest capstone to his Free Crack trilogy, on top of getting his GED (courtesy of Sway). G Herbo finally dropped Ballin Like I'm Kobe to critical acclaim and somehow surpassed exceedingly high expectations, as well as pulling off a name change that people actually liked. Oh yeah, and they both made our top 10 Chicago albums of the year list.

"Don't Worry" comes off G Herbo's BLIK  and was one of its most popular tracks; no surprise given his costar. The video is unusually striking, shot under a thunderstorm by Miami director Ivan Berrios in a way that visually boils down nature of the two artists' music. Excitement, fear, joy, sadness, all of those are roiling up in the clouds and then bolting down to earth in Herbo's and Bibby's charged flow.

You already know the song is good, now watch the superb video as a lead in for 2016! G Herbo's and Lil Bibby's 2015 has been excellent and there's no reason to think the train is stopping now, given the impressive manner with which they've found success. Not codependent, not riding coattails. Similar they may be, they have rejected being lumped together and instead each has stayed in their own lane, succeeding on their own terms. This is survival of the fittest, and both G Herbo and Lil Bibby are steady ascending to the top of the meritocracy. Sometimes lightning does strike the same place twice.
