Soon, Malcolm London will complete a year-plus-long journey towards a new medium with the impending release of his debut project, OPIA. An endeavor we've highlighted several times since our inception, London got us even more excited for his musical stepping-out with yet another talented single, this time finding himself alongside longtime friends Vic Mensa and Maceo Haymes of The O'My's for "Northstar".

Last week, London unveiled the artwork for his upcoming project, which you can catch tomorrow evening at a listening session, should you be able to find it. In a year that has been marked by both the rise of Chicago hip-hop on a national scene and the continued fight for equal rights across races, Malcolm London now sits at an interesting crossroads as he prepares for the transition that continues to carry a powerful, independent message. On his latest single, which may be the last before the full-length unveiling, Malcolm enlists a pair of his most talented colleagues for a fittingly progressive track that makes the expected product ever more eclectic. We can't wait to hear this one in it's entirety, but you can't beat this collaboration as a hold-over. Get into "Northstar" above.
