Saba • 'Bucket List Project'

It's been over two years since we were last graced with a full length from a young man named Saba. Hailing from the west side of Chicago, the young MC ended the long hiatus overnight with the debut of his long-awaited sophomore full-length, Bucket List Project.

To be sure, this project was a long time coming. Buoyed by a series of talented guest spots, especially the pair next to Chance The Rapper as well as a monumental initial project, ComfortZone, which put him on the map nationally and vaulted his name into the 'Next Up' conversation where it would stay for some time. Battling newfound notoriety and a world he'd only dreamed of, Saba began crafting his bucket list from a series of experiences, intimate and not that he came across in the months and years following his breakout success. This project speaks to that growth and the maturity on early tracks like "GPS" and "Church/Liquor Store" which feature longtime collaborators in NoName and Cam O'bi. Saba seems to have found himself at long last after questioning his role on GETComfortable, finding his lane on ComfotZone, Bucket List appears to illustrate a young man realizing just what he's capable of.

2016 appears to be the year of ending long dry spells. So far we've gotten new projects from Saba, NoName, Chance and Vic Mensa, all of which has been silent on releases since 2014. While there's still a few months left on the calendar, we're sure this will be one that will prove to have a shelf-life on par with it's predecessor.
