Flynnn is a new name on my radar. The Chicago-based dance artist aka LifeQuestVol5 aka Goth Queen has crafted a synth-driven, piano heavy, futuristic dance party on a different planet with plenty of cartoon characters around. Flynnn isn't a name I knew prior to this release, but Flynnn is a name I'll keep an eye out for from now on. No autotune and plenty of bass. In regards to credits: Flynnn handles production, drums, percussion, vocals, keyboard, synthesizers, and programming. Flynnn also helped with cover art and mixing/mastering. The only guests are Eain Goldsmith on guitar and lev ko on vocals on the track "Complicated". The progression and transformation that takes place on "Lightnnning Rod" is instantly noteworthy. The song "Interlude 2; Persistence / ∞ Sunset" is such a good instrumental. With a hushed voice and an electrified sound, the project is deeply personal, yet meant for the nightlife. This would fit perfectly at 2:00 AM at Beauty Bar. Like Jens Lekman playing with Junior Boys and Junior Senior.
