Towkio (Ft. Vic Mensa) • "G W M"

A couple months ago, around the time we featured Towkio as our cover story he pulled out a battered iPhone to show off his latest video hiding up his sleeve. Today that visual met the public at large as the SaveMoney representative offered up yet another talented visual rendering for his single "G W M" featuring Vic Mensa.

If you're at all familiar with the .Wav Theory artist then forward-thinking videos have come to be expected. Since the days of "Holla At My Guala" he's had a penchant for interesting visual accompaniments that continue on this one, shot near the South Loop/Chinatown area of the city. Utilizing a drone, the guys, including Mensa and Nikko Washington, who we recently featured, scaled the defunct rail bridge near 18th street to film the piece, a move that while very dope for the piece, also apparently cut the shoot a bit short as the police came to get them down. For Mensa, who infamously fell off a bridge years ago while sneaking into Lollapalooza, falling onto an electric generator, he proves his nerves are as steeled as ever, climbing the ancient piece of industrial machinery and dangling his feet off the edge. It's another dope release from a crew that has been pacing the year at large. It also may serve as the last page in the .Wav Theory chapter for Towkio, who has now set his sights on the upcoming World Wide Waves project, due sometime soon. For now, get into the video above.
