Purveyors of cool, California based label and cultural architects Soulection have always approached their business from a music first perspective. Their roster has been carefully curated to include some of the most promising new names in hip hop. Names like Sango, Ta-Ku and Chicago's own Monte Booker, all of which continue to push the envelope in regard to the sound defines the genre.

The label is only one side of Soulection, but we're happy to hear whatever they have to offer, especially when it's from our friend Monte Booker. The producer gained notoriety in 2016 from his work with Smino, a St. Louis emcee by way of Chicago that also had a breakout year. Today Monte and Pennsylvania based singer Naji crack smiles with Mona Lisa. Soulection describes the release as the beginning of a new era for the collective, and we couldn't be more excited after experiencing this glimpse into their future. Smooth, chill and full bodied, "Mona Lisa" is the perfect tune to start your week with.
