Beach Jesus producer Jaro is a beast and following his part in constructing the recent Beach Jesus release, the This Time Last Year EP, the beatsmith has taken this past week to release some solo material. First it was the sample laden "Unlike You" that dropped early in the week, and closing it out properly, Jaro enlists the vocal talents of frequent collaborators Chandy and Cae Jones for the spacey "Tangerine". Chandler and Cae Jones bring the song to life with a pair of verses about a girl over Jaro's production. An uptempo and bouncy single, "Tangerine" is a great example of why Jaro stands out in the hip-hop world. A child of genre bending and a diverse set of musical influences, Jaro continues to break down barriers, this time with a little help from his talented friends. The song was originally featured on the Tokens project we released a couple weeks back, but it has since been revitalized courtesy of the Column1Sound account, and we figured this joint was just too good to let people sleep on it.
