Sir Michael Rocks • "How Are You So Calm"

Directed by Jerome D

Those who have followed Sir Michael Rocks solo career from the jump should know by now that he loves to release quality visuals to complement his favorite songs. With that being said, it isn’t surprising that the Chicago veteran chose to shoot a video for “How Are You So Calm,” the standout record off his Part 2 EP. With eye-catching color backdrops and a good use of animations to match Mickey’s energy, director Jerome D succeeds in crafting yet another memorable visual to add to the emcee’s extensive catalog.

The follow-up project to last year’s Populair featured the bass-slapping “Kilo on Craigslist” and a very personal joint in “The Woods,” but “How Are You So Calm” has received almost 200,000 streams due to its jovial production, Banco’s dynamic flow and the off-the-wall bars referencing everyone from Paul George to an actor from The Hobbit. This single should be a summer essential and the recently released video is a nice reminder to add the track to your playlists now that the weather is heating up.
