Whitney • "No Matter Where We Go"

Whitney has been one of the easiest groups to crack a smile about since evolving from the remnants of the Smith Westerns last year and continue to do so with slick songs that seem to be distilled from the fine moments of life often forgotten or taken for granted. That's the onus on their latest piece at least, a video for "No Matter Where You Go" off their upcoming project, Light Upon The Lake due June 3 on Secretly Canadian.

The video features a smattering of friendly faces as frontman Julien Ehrlich unpacks the small nuances of being with someone who makes the mundane a bit more bearable and life in general a bit more exciting. The video itself is a really well-done peek at intimate moments of those in and around the city, set against the grey-ridden winter and spring months that pace the first quarter of living in Chicago when all there really is to do is lay in bed with the one you love smoking a joint. We've only just finally started to peek our heads out of that umbrella, peeking ahead to a summer that has plenty in store for this eclectic collective who's debut project next week is definitely highly anticipated. Until then, take solace in the beauty of the visual above and get in tune with Ben's recent cover story on the guys here.
