Chicago's THEMpeople collective is one of the city's best kept secrets. Well, maybe not so much a secret anymore following their involvement with high profile releases from the likes Mick Jenkins, Chance The Rapper, Smino and others. The creative collective is mostly known for their production background, but none of its members are confined to the producer box.

Evident here, Zarif Wilder, aka Zigg, aka theMIND, releases his debut project following one of the busiest years of his life. theMIND has played a supporting role to many and has joined Mick Jenkins on most of his tour stops since he experienced his glo up, but our friend Zarif is ready to break out on his own and has offered up quite the introduction to get the ball rolling. The previously released "Pale Rose" and "Mercury Rising" set the tone for the project, but Summer Camp has exceeded all expectations, and that's after just one listen. 

Being that this is theMIND's first solo outing, it comes as no surprise that he kept feature verses to a minimum, but Summer Camp does see contributions from Noname, Towkio, Donnie Trumpet and of course plenty of his THEMpeople cohorts. Just an 11 track project for theMIND to be extremely proud of. A fun, soulful, peaceful experience, Summer Camp is a place you just won't want to leave.
