Round Up • New Releases From Ravyn Lenae, Lucki, Lud Foe & More

Each week the These Days staff comes across great music from Chicago artists that we could not provide individual features for. In an effort to keep our readers up to date with more of our recent favorites, the Round Up segment provides quick summaries and additional noteworthy content. Check out our latest picks below and feel free to submit a comment if you feel we missed something.

Kharion • "Potent"

What’s more potent then a Senzu Bean? Probably nothing, but that's besides the point. Using his knowledge of Dragon Ball Z and his potent abilities behind the mic, Kahrion drops off another loose cut with frequent collaborator Von Vuai. From his "Saiyan Freestyle" to "Nimbus", and to this new track "Potent", it’s very obvious that this man's got the juice.

Lucki • "Pop Out/Up (Freewave II)"

Lucki is on a lucky streak of singles lately. Fresh off of his Son of Sam EP, Lucki is rebooting his Freewave series with part II. A successor to his Freewave freestyle EP that dropped late last November. His latest track "Pop Out/Up" is the second single to drop from Freewave II and seems much more structured than a traditional freestyle. Lucki is pulling out all the stops, even for freestyles.

Lud Foe • "What's The Issue"

The west side's Lud Foe is officially a celebrity in the streets and gaining traction with each release. "What's The Issue" is another new single from Lud alongside producer KidWond3r. The duo have proven to be a productive and prosperous team, dropping new music at a feverish pace so far this summer. Still waiting an official debut from Lud Foe, and I think it's safe to say that anticipation is high.

Su Na (Ft. Ravyn Lenae) • "Tell Me"

Su Na may sound unfamiliar to you now, but we can assure you that the electro producer has been making waves all across the world with shows in Seoul Korea to right here in the States. Aided by the vocals of the lovely Chicago native, Ravyn Lenae, the two comprised the chilling new track "Tell Me". Be sure to check out the rest of Su Na’s latest Surface EP, which is available on a slew of streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and many more.

Weasel Sims • "Crazy"

More new heat from out west, and this time it's by Maywood native Weasel Sims for his #WeaselWednesdays series. Teaming up with RAN cohort Jae Haze, Weasel goes crazy quite literally in the new set of visuals for "Crazy". The Alexander King directed clip sees Weasel Sims and Jae Haze in an abandoned institution. Luckily their stay was only temporary because Weasel Sims needs to release his "Prey For Paris" on June 22nd.
