Mojek and Rich The Ruler team up together for a new duo known as Ape Face, bringing us a brand new project called the Boys Of Summer EP. An exploration in dance and and a modern take on throwback vibes (hell, the first track is called “Axel Foley”), Mojek and Rich The Ruler ratchet up all manner of synths and sounds for a project that’ll take you back to a different era, while still maintaining that 2016 freshness. Unfamiliar with Rich The Ruler's work, but Mojek has done nothing but impress since our first exposure to him through his collaborations with Ric Wilson and the highly underrated World Of Mojek project with 119. Over three tracks, Boys Of Summer brings a strange mix of music that'll take you somewhere between the beach and a sci-fi novel, a bright, highly move-able and vaguely trippy take on dance music. It's fun, unique, and going to wear out your play button. If you need a soundtrack to close out your summer, you found it.
