Air Credits • "Passport"
Perhaps no single act this summer took more of a step forward than the brainchild of fellow locals ShowYouSuck and The Hood Internet, who teamed up at the top of the warm months here in Chicago to create the inspired pairing of Air Credits, who doubled down on a season of wins with the release of their latest single, "Passport".
The single arrives alongside the announcement of an inaugural tour which kicks off August 24 in Nashville and runs through October with a final date at the University of Missouri, proving that Air Credits is more than just a seasonal soiree. Here, they channel the energy of both artists into a fully-understood creation of sound that plays on boths strong points while simultaneously pushing each into somewhat new territory. The production comes a bit more down-tempo than it did on the initial pieces, "All I Need Pt. I & II". Show is at his best when describing the off-center world he exists in on the day-to-day and here he flips the stereotypical hip-hop trope of 'foreign' by referencing his Playstation. It's always tongue in cheek with Mr. Clinton. Check it out above and reference the tour dates as well.
