Jude Shuma • "Float"

Directed by: Frank Donnangelo

Fresh off of the release of his EP Biggest Hits, Chicago singer/songwriter Jude Shuma blessed us with some weekend visuals for the track "Float". The song was originally released back in June and we properly covered it, but we have to cover it yet again, as the music video does nothing but enhance the already strong track. Also, if you recall the "Chicago Artists to Watch" list that the These Days staff created at the beginning of 2016, contributing member Pat Welby had Mr. Shuma as one of his three selections. We've been telling you.

Now, to hold you through the summer, watch as Jude lounges in a lawn chair in the middle of the road, as he plays guitar while wearing some hip sunglasses, as he melts into a pool and turns into part of a kaleidoscope. The whole experience is divided between crisp HD and lofi VHS quality, providing a contrast so effective that your pupils will be severely dilated by the end of the four minute video. You've been properly warned.
