Since establishing himself as one of the leading voices of the movement here in Chicago over the course of the last five years or so, Malcolm London has been tweaking his message a bit over the course of 2016, positioning it in a new arena capable of reaching even more audiences and today continues his welcome adventure with the release of another powerful single, "X Factor" produced by fellow local Timmy V.

We featured Malcolm back in February as he was preparing to embark on the journey of adjusting his message from that of spoken word poetry and foot-to-pavement activism into a wholly-understood message able to be put to beat and with each subsequent release he has shown that it's increasingly possible to exist in both spaces. At a show a couple weeks ago at Soho House in Chicago, London offered an intimate glance at his upcoming full-length project he's been plugging away on diligently with close friends and collaborators. On this one, he continues to remind us that there's power in the singular, but movement in the masses and points out the catalyst for each in his own way. Things seem to keep getting more comfortable for London as he settles further into this new lane and we can't wait for the release of the full project coming very soon. For now, get into the latest available above.
