As it stands, Elton Aura might be best known as one of the two members in the Chicago duo MDMC. Made up of Elton and producer/vocalist Phoelix, the two have released a plethora of music since stepping into the spotlight around this time last year. While they have plenty of heat as a collaborative duo (check out their Loud Dream release), both artists have also created plenty of solo material. After releasing the loose singles "Stress, Love" and "Foreign" earlier this year, Elton Aura returns with the track "Free Run". Produced by Phoelix, this is most assuredly an MDMC release, but categorized here as one hell of a solo Elton Aura track. Synth heavy and smooth, this track splits time between hip-hop (#bars, bro) and soul. Don't sleep on this number and be sure to look out for more from these two talented artists, as I'm certain they have plenty planned for the remainder of the year.
