Mick Jenkins • "Fall Through"

Soon, we will have a new collection of music from Mick Jenkins. Tied over by a stellar EP since his breakout release, The Water(s) back in 2014, we couldn't be more ready. As we throttle towards the highly-anticipated release of his follow-up full-length, The Healing Component, due out this Friday, September 23, we received a peek inside what's to come today with the release of his THC single, "Fall Through".

Making it's debut on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Radio, the single speaks to the position Jenkins has found himself two years removed from that first push towards national consciousness. Continuing a journey marked by inspiring wordplay, humbling understanding of the world and an innate presence to put it all together in a way that speaks to folks across color, income or personal agenda. On this one, Mick once again proves why he is among the next to ascend to the top of the mountain and join the likes of Chance and Vic. It's been fun following the ever-heavy artist from one plateau to the next and as he readies himself for the next chapter, it'll be interesting to see how his latest offering affects the fans he's already shown the way to. For now though, we'll ruminate on the unique stylings "Fall Through" offers up, Get in tune above and catch it live October 20 alongside Smino for Red Bull Sound Select's 'Quest For Love' Tour at Thalia Hall, tix available here.
