Anthony White • 'T.A.W.P'

It's been a minute since we last heard the sinewy stylings of Chicago's own Anthony White and it appears those thing do come to those that wait, as White emerged from a brief hiatus with a full project, T.A.W.P, in tow.

Having scored wins with dutiful collaborations alongside the likes of Smino, Stefan Ponce, Appleby and more, the Classick Studios regular has emerged as a unique voice within the scene. White is a big guy, when I write up his music I often have nightmares of trying to work a layup around his frame on the basketball court without losing a limb. But his voice is a beautiful juxtaposition and his handling of it is first class. On this project, we get him nudged forward to center stage with bulk of the production coming from Patrick Pryor on a more upbeat tempo than we've found him before. This city is oozing talent and White is certainly a part of that, can't wait to dig into this one further.
