Moon Baby has been relatively quiet ever since the short-lived duo Moon & Ju parted ways. A few features here and there, but no official singles for quite some time. For those unfamiliar with Moon & Ju: the two artists released a small amount of impressive songs over the course of 2014 and then decided to go separate directions. While that was two years ago, Moon aka Moon Baby is finally ready to visit the forefront and deliver his debut single. With a massive amount of music sitting in the vault ready to be launched, and in honor of "SWIM!" breaking 100k plays on SoundCloud, we spoke with Moon Baby about his new track, "Back & Forth", and what we can expect from him for the remainder of 2016. 

TheseDays: How would you describe this song to a stranger on the street?

Moon Baby: I would describe this as a push like when I make music it's for the feeling. Like bars are cool, rap is cool, but I like the feeling.

TD: Is this a loose single or part of a bigger project?

MB: A bigger project which is part of my bigger project [laughs].

TD: What can we expect from you for the remainder of the year?

MB: For the rest of the year Imma be dropping hella shit. I'm back in the studio now, I got my friends. I'm starting to understand the world and myself better so as a part of that Imma be dropping what I've learned and know.

TD: Last we talked, you were preparing/juggling multiple projects at once. Is that still the plan?

MB: This is like my first tier. I took two years off after the breakup with Ju and really made music. I was looking for different sounds and producers and shit and really made something happen. So for the rest of this year, I got like a couple more projects. Don't wanna say a for sure number, but my debut tape is definitely gonna be something I'm aiming for classics.

TD: Any final words/thoughts/shout-outs?

MB: WxY forever I can't wait till you guys see what we been cooking.
