This past December, Chicago transplant Smino teased his first full length project with the release of its title track "blkswn". A release that served as a bookend to a year that saw a lot of success come Smino's way. It wasn't all that long ago when we first met the then fresh from St. Louis Smino and producer friend Monte Booker, but so much has happened professionally for both since then. 

While the result of Smino's efforts have him touring Europe and making his rounds with the national media, we're all still patiently waiting blkswn's arrival and dying to hear where Smino takes it. Working with Monte Booker has become as common in Smino's music as his own STL accent, so it's no surprise he's tapped this close collaborator to provide the backdrop to this jubilant love story "Anita".

No definite confirmation that the new single will be featured on Smino's highly anticipated album, but there are some hints. In any event, "Anita" is not something that should be neglected. Enjoy it a few times over while we wait on album updates.
