Lud Foe is one of the hottest rappers out of Chicago right now, rocking an intensity and flow that lights the mic on fire. And unfortunately, we were very sorry to hear that Lud Foe recently suffered a serious car accident involving an 18 wheeler after a performance, a scary moment for family, friends and fans of Foe all around. The Chicago rapper knew people we're worried, and left something to let us know he isn’t going anywhere. The project is titled #GetWellFoe, and it’s 9 tracks of proof that Lud Foe has zero intention of slowing down.

The project is excellent, and there’s some interesting differences between #GetWellFoe and his past work. What stands out Lud Foe’s delivery, he’s got the same hard nose approach but is experimenting with more melodic vocals. The atmosphere is way more low-key, and while Lud Foe always has a serious vibe, #GetWellFoe feels personal. Part of this is reflected in the production, subtle beats that retain Lud Foe usual energy but a little more contemplative than usual (ex: “Star” ). The project is mostly produced by frequent Lud Foe and Boochie Gang collaborator Kid Wond3r, who continues to help Lud Foe cement his own sound. But really, hat's off to Lud Foe, who in the most difficult of times, once again stepped his game up. It's the only direction he knows, so continue following the Chicago rapper for what's sure to be a fantastic 2017. Get well Foe!
