Malcolm London • "Westside in the Rain"

Directed by Holiday Kirk

There's no rest for the wicked, but Malcolm London wakes up from a good night sleep with the ambition to change his city for the better and the motivation to see that it does. Whether he's standing in front of podium, out on the streets taking action or in the booth making music about it all, Malcolm's pride for Chicago and more specifically the west side of Chicago shines bright.

In his latest offering "Westside in the Rain", Malcolm like Saba before him champions out west with a series of visuals that highlight what makes that part of town so great. The west side is void of tourism and when the media talks about how Chicago gun violence needs to be controlled, they always refer to the problem as a south side problem. Sunshine or rainy skies, the west side is often the forgotten side of Chicago, but Malcolm is here to set the record straight with this optimistic anthem from 2016's Opia.
