PRESENTED BY CLOSED SESSIONS

The Closed Sessions’ creators Ajani Jones & Boathouse appear with their bass-boosting single “Futurama”, the opening track from their upcoming joint EP. To begin, Boathouse utilizes the repetition of horns over a hard drum beat. In addition, adlibs of short screams allow listeners to gear up for an energizing beat drop that could fire up any crowd. Powerfully, Ajani flexes his chest as he raps over the hook, “What a life, What a goal, What a dream”, the type of mantras tailored to jumpstart any go getter’s week with ease. The themes of embracing individualism and self-realization are layered into the track. And as Boathouse’s musical experimentation progresses, Ajani continues striving with his assertive and astute wordplay, “773 I run and check the screen, going Benji in the gym I got em all in the seams.” With Ajani Jones acting as the energizer bunny, together, he and Boathouse create a fierce track that will make listeners go ape-shit, the essence any banger should have.
