The Heat Index: FlyNari • ChromeHearted Remix (feat. Lil Eazzyy)
The Heat Index is These Days’ hip hop column showcasing a new hot record we can’t stop playing.
FlyNari first put his name on Chicago’s radar with the 2020 single, “ChromeHearted,” an undeniable sing-rap hit driven by a muted guitar line and the artist’s melodic voice. Since then, he’s continued his ascent with a string of quality videos, including a marquee performance for the “From The Block” series and a complementary collaboration with Calboy.
With solid momentum behind him, FlyNari has returned to “ChromeHearted” with a remix featuring Lil Eazzyy, who breathes new life into the record by talking his shit: “They think the hating make me mad, but how is that? / When I can walk into any store and I don’t check the tag.” Luckily, FlyNari also kept the small idiosyncrasies that made this record such a good listen, like when he amusingly croons, “He put that on his kids, he ain’t even got no kids.”
The song’s video was directed by Josh Jones and produced by entertainment company, No More Heroes, who were also involved in the original and seem likely to continue playing a role in FlyNari’s emergence.
