Ovrlord Presents • Roy French & Friends Live at Emporium

Directed by Yakub Films

If you haven't noticed lately, the TheseDays team has been dipping our toe into the events world by hosting some shows and event around town. Part of that push has been the emergence of the city's new, vaunted promotion entity, Ovrlord, which is an affiliate of the site and the ones behind this show at Emporium on December 14 with Roy French and Friends.

This end of 2015 event was the first inkling of what the squad could do before we take off this weekend with a pair of shows at Chop Shop and The Metro. This show was a perfect segue that featured some of our favorite acts currently grinding it out on the ground floor. Joining Roy on the bill were Milwaukee's Klassik, Chicago's own female band Highness, as well as LA Vangogh and Muten Blvck.

For his part, Roy has been on a tear as of late, pumping new music into the streets with his recent FLUX release and a tour across the Midwest with Mic Terror. Along with that, he's been a regular in and around the TheseDays offices, wherever they may be at any given time. As a result, he's received some solid play on our weekly radio show. In the video above from Yakub Films, you can clearly see that dude is packing a punch with the live show as well. Check out the recap up top and make sure you get your tickets for this weekend!
