"Support Chicago Arts" Benefits The Arts Community, Black Artists and Black-owned Organizations
Over the past few months, many individuals, neighbors, and businesses have stepped up to lend a helping hand with efforts such as food drives and fundraisers, directly benefitting members of our community who have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this week, Chicago-based agencies Direction Tour Marketing and Acacia Consulting Group, announced their partnership in the “Support Chicago Arts” initiative - a community-oriented action that assists organizations within Chicago’s arts community who are experiencing financial hardships caused by COVID-19.
Support Chicago Arts works in three easy steps; patrons can choose from various items to purchase including lawn signs, facemasks, window cards and gift cards (redeemable in Support Chicago Arts shop), Direction prints the products, and then 100% of the profits are donated to an organization of your choice. Arts organizations that have partnered with the initiative include Arts of Life, Pride Arts Center, Ukrainian National Museum, Windy City Playhouse, and many more. You can view the full list of Support Chicago Arts partners here.
In addition to supporting the aforementioned organizations, Support Chicago Arts has also made a commitment to stand with the Black Community and directly support Black Arts organizations and Black artists. In solidarity with the black community, 100% of profits from all face masks sales will support to Black artists in Chicago.
Direction/Pro-Ject has given the These Days team a space to call home as we have hosted our weekly meetings and many artist collaborations in their space over the years. We stand with the mission behind Support Chicago Arts and hope you will too! Visit supportchicagoarts.com to directly support the City’s arts community by purchasing an item of your choice.
