Round Up • New Release From Lili K, Adot, Loud Mouth, Nefelibata Tribe, and More

Each week the These Days staff comes across great music from Chicago artists that we could not provide individual features for. In an effort to keep our readers up to date with more of our recent favorites, the Round Up segment provides quick summaries and additional noteworthy content. Check out our latest picks below and feel free to submit a comment if you feel we missed something.

Izzy Rythm • MusiCardium Mixtape

Izzy Rythm has been rather dormant since releasing his debut EP, Broccoli and Coffee, last year. This time around, he gives us a 22 minute mixtape in the form of one long mp3. With production from Smoko Ono and others, Rythm is able to croon and belt out his vocals for the world to hear. If you vibe with this, be sure to check out his chopped and screwed version as well.

Nefelibata Tribe • "BxtchesxBxcon"

Nefelibata Tribe is a Chicago collective made up of numerous rappers and producers throughout the city. Coming together for the first time under their group's name, five members united to release "BxtchesxBxcon", a five-minute posse cut featuring verses from Kolby Woods, CrooKid, Almadrio, and Breevie, and with production from Cocaine Richards.

Lili K • "Pour Some Shuga"

From the doo-wop sweetness of "Tommy" to the black-and-white somber "Forgive Me" to now, with "Pour Some Shuga", Lili K has been impressing with the visual accompaniment to her 2015 album Ruby. For "Pour Some Shuga", Lili vibes inside of a diner while cameos by ShowYouSuck and TheseDays' own Westley Parker can be spotted. Respect.

Loud Mouth (Ft. KILL IZZY & Bruce Bayne)

Loud Mouth enlists Chicago rapper Bruce Bayne and NY MC Kill Izzy for a substance-fueled posse cut. With production from Toronto's D.R.O. and mixed by Chicago's own Drew Mantia, the backdrop for this track is perfect for bars on bars on bars. None of the three rappers involved here disappoint. Spin it back to listen twice.

Stunt Taylor • "RACKS"

Here's "RACKS," Stunt Taylor's first single from his upcoming project Maison Margiela Music. Like most artists that came through the Bop-boom we witnessed two years ago, Stunt Taylor can craft a hook with ease, but he shows in this particular song that he can also compliment that skill with witty bars. The album will be available next month, but you can pre-order it on iTunes now

Black RalphyL • "I Want it All"

Back on 11.11 of this year, Black RalphyL released his V VI XI EP. Here, he adds the visual treatment to the second song of the EP. Produced by V and directed by Joshua Eby, this video shows RalphyL on top of Chicago's skyline, showing us that he wants every single thing that the eye can see.

Adot • "BACK"

I've always really enjoyed Adot's monotoned tongue-twisters. Here, he continues to impress with his new track "Back". Produced by Dariu, this is the second strong piece from Adot we have heard in the last month. He gave us "Circles 2" late last month and "Back" is more of that heat. Even the art by Papikodone is hot. Hopefully we get an EP or a full-length in early 2016, but I'd be content if he just continued to release loose singles.
