Two Fresh (Ft. Carter Lang & Arnold) • "Ostego"

We made this on a rainy day with our friends Carter Lang & Arnold. “Ostego”, from production prodigies Two Fresh and Chicago’s recently covered bassist du jour Carter Lang, is sharp and clear eyed. It is a glass knife cutting so smoothly you wouldn’t even know it’s there. The slow-building track is the definition of clean with no rough edges to be found. You can skip this rock. It’s the best damn elevator music you ever heard.  Evidently made on a rainy day as "something to cool out to", you could just as easily see a cold winter morning in blinding black and white. Two Fresh and L.A. producer Arnold bring an 8-bit vibe surrounded by sprites and synths, but Carter Lang’s bass is the heart beat pumping life into the song. You might just catch yourself wondering which artist is the feature.

Two Fresh has been making their presence known in Chicago over the last year, but maybe you could say Chicago has made its presence known to them. Coasts be damned, all throughout 2015, when Two Fresh looked for help, the L.A. via Nashville blood brothers found it in the middle of the country. Working with Vic, Joey Purp, Towkio, Leather Chords (there’s certainly more) and now Carter Lang? Respect the neighbors!
