AMARA (Ft. ProbCause) • "Peaches"

Produced by Charles Black featuring Prob Cause

Words by Allen Hotchkiss

Chicago’s do-it-all rapper Probcause is incredible. After another summer slammed with festival bookings, guest MC appearances, animation projects & even some still drawings for Chance the Rapper's coloring book, the one they call improbable has recently been featured on two huge releases that continue to showcase just why he's been so popular all these years.

A couple weeks back Prob and long time homie GRiZ released the funky, edm rooted festival smash“My Friends and I,”. After the two collabed to make Moments on Prob’s Drifters EP we knew (and hoped) it’d only be a short matter of time before these two did it again. The track is laced with frequency bending drops, confident horn lines and the overall energy you come to expect from an All Good Records project. Give yourself some space to dance and enjoy that release if you haven't already.

Today's release is a much more vulnerable song from AMARA & ProbCause about a romance gone cold. Produced by Charles Black, “Peaches” is AMARA’s highly emotional effort to provide perspective from both sides of a gentle, yet painfully fading relationship. Prob’s verse is from the point of view of the boyfriend where he delivers the difficult truth and embraces the reality of the situation despite how hard it may be.

Though vastly different, both of these recent releases make me really excited for more from ProbCause. Check out both tracks and be sure to catch him live next time you can!
