Goodbye Tomorrow • "Every Day"
Following up “Runway Model/Perle De Gris,” the mysterious Chicago act, Goodbye Tomorrow returns with their new track titled “Every Day.” Goodbye Tomorrow’s signature sound is mixture of; Trap, Grime, and Chicago. For those who don't know GT, they are a profound squad comprised of musicians, photographers, computer programmers, designers and more, all united by their desire to make art that transcends ego. “Every Day” features Preme on the mic and a conversation about rebirth, the truth, and living your own destiny. “Every Day” is the first major release from the creative collective paralleling with the launch of their engaging new website, so be sure to check it out.
Matt Whise (Ft. Jay Reall) • "Blood Gem"
Matt Whise drops his track “Blood Gem”, a feel-good track and lyrical stroll. Featuring Jay Reall and produced by JustX, “Blood Gem” has a soulful sound and a chill vibe that can easily be kicked back to. It's one of a number of enjoyable songs he's put out in recent memory, and it seems he's got a project on the way as well. Matt Whise is yet another local who we should be keeping our eyes on.
Spenzo (Ft. Taylor Bennett & Brian Fresco) • "Fresh"
Three of Chicagos well respected rap slangin buzzmakers; Spenzo, Brian Fresco and Taylor Bennett have joined forces to for Spenzo's most recent release “Fresh”. Stacking bankrolls seems to be what these fellas are on as they put in work both inside and out of the booth. Lets not forget producer The Kid Marqui, diving in on some wavy synths matched with dope bells to vibe to. All three of these artist's are ones to look out for as they each make solid moves on top of churning out consistently awesome music.
Stunnaman Stacks • "Band Man"
This song saved my Monday this week. From the minds of Decent Militia's Stunnaman Stacks and producer Seer(typebeat) is "Band Man" a song that'll make you feel like king of the world for a moment regardless of your financial situation. With Stacks flowing at his most casual and Seer creating a beat that will absolutely put a smile on your face, "Band Man" is packed full of good feels in a week that has been, well, short on them. Stack it up!
