They didn’t read the psalms. Open a fresh wound if I feel they bleeding wrong. Subtweetin squad from they dad’s server, and I don’t trust you if you cross that line like a scab worker. Your spot easier to catch than air in nets. only autographs you been signin on canceled checks. And How you shotcallin but barely fresh? Even my silhouette ballin like Jerry West. your whole career is a pump fake. So many bars, I don't have a following. Just a drunk tank. Wanna mix it up, I’m in your face like a scrub base, til then, keep the ammo locked like a gun safe. Moonwalk on broken glass. Stomping on smoking ash. My Cam’ron Ebola mask got Jim Jones ebola masks. I got your heroes showin respect like a tipped hat. Brushin off the talk. These rappers mouths is lint traps. Walkin round they shows dressed like a dust addict And hate songs with good rap cuz they suck at it. But I ain’t worried bout em or what they talk brings, cuz grief stay hanging by my door like a porch swing. I spent it all tryna buy the bar a hundreth round..

Defcee has been running wild since the end of 2015. After dropping his album Damn Near Grown, which he had been working on for years, he instantly released an EP with Benjamin Earl Turner called Case Studies (A Novella).

Following those two strong projects, Defcee has continued to tease and release loose singles via his SoundCloud account. Last week, he uploaded a song with producer BoatHouse for 24 hours. Just a taste, just to see how it feels. And just last night, Defcee dropped "Forty III", a bar-heavy boom bap brawl. Snagging an instrumental from The Alchemist off of ScHoolBoy Q's album, Defcee goes in on the crackling production. Read along to the lyricism provided in the SoundCloud description and try your best to keep up. Expect four projects from Defcee this year: Helluva Drug, defconfive ,The Vega Brothers, and Jewseph (with Joseph Chilliams).
