G-O • 'From The Go'

He’s a man of many names.  From God to G-O and who knows what next, behind that indecisiveness hides one of Chicago’s most consistent artists, whether or not he’s quite on the map yet.  From The GO is the project, a return to rap’s lyrical side and G-O's story of private-enterprise. It’s a fully formed, cohesive project that see’s G-O place a refreshing emphasis on writing, all while rocking and owning his own style as an artist in the face of today’s trends. Those who’ve passed the surf board on rap’s current wave need to listen up, because From The GO may be the project you’ve been waiting for.

The Money Block Entertainment rapper gathered some huge names for the project; French Montana, Project Pat and Juicy J on the mic, along with a formidable production line-up that includes Zaytoven, TM88 and more. The beat selection is notable for its heavy Atlanta bent, giving G-O a slightly cleaner template to work with and one that fits his leanings towards storytelling. Not to come off as an old man yelling at clouds, G-O’s production keeps the project fresh and progressive (see his track “Love To Hate” produced by DJ Fu), but it's his priority of "bars first" that feels inherently throwback. G-O's product has been absolutely on point the last couple years, so don't be surprised if the man is poppin' sooner rather than later.
