Sunny Woodz (Ft. Qari & CHURCHDONTSTOP) • "Roots"

Directed by APJ Films // Words by Peter Bonamici

Sunny Woodz assembles Qari and CHURCHDONTSTOP for "Roots", a new visual shot and directed by APJ Films. The single dropped about three months ago featured on Sunny Wood’s solo mixtape titled Sunny Side Up. It’s always a treat to see Qari and Mulatto on the same track but can’t help but wonder what a Supa Bwe assisted version would sound, as he was featured on the same tape multiple times but on different tracks.

The visual shows the group wildn’ out, climbing trees and smoking in middle of the woods. You can’t help to admire the group’s team effort to cohesively keep the same rhyme scheme among multiple artists and verses to wrap the song around with one cohesive flow.

Sunny Woodz is working extremely hard, especially in the dense Chicago scene. Networking and creating with veterans like Twista and a handful of newer yet notable artists such as Qari, Trapo and Warhol.SS, it would be no surprise if we witness Sunny Woodz extreme glo up in the near future.
