Adot • "Paradise" // "Reflection"

Directed by Wolf

If you haven't pressed play yet, you're tweaking. Adot released a double feature drive-in theatre attraction for your gazing entertainment. Back in April, the tongue twisting, relaxed Chicago rapper released the audio for the yacht rap, smooth track "Paradise". Rhyming over Macintosh Plus, the end result is something that Curren$y might blast on his tour bus.  He followed that up with "Reflection" which is equal parts vaporwave and retrofuturistic.

Joining forces with director Zack Matias aka Wolf, Adot blended both "Paradise" and "Reflection" into a split feature. The result is a crackling, lofi, VHS quality aesthetic that we've seen from Adot in the past. Going back in time, he completes the retro vibes with enjoyable animation from Vincent Collins. The experience is a channel surfing daydream stuck in yesteryear, with both tracks acting as separate television shows, complete with cast credits and clever aliases. This is not your standard rap music video and for that I'm grateful.

If you need more from Adot and crew, peep his 'vaporwave dotty' playlist down below, featuring both of the tracks from up above.
