Hannibal Buress and co-host Tony Trimm have been playing host to their podcast, the 'Handsome Rambler' show and this week took the time to sit down and interview Fake Shore Drive founder Andrew Barber for the latest episode, recorded at Burress' home in town. The crew talk about Fake Shore's origins, ducking rappers, "Xanax Jungle Juice", Bump J and more musings. Kuumba Lynx Slams the Competition at #LTAB17

This past weekend, Kuumba Lynx left as 'Team Finals' Champions at Louder Than A Bomb 2017. The annual poetry competition is the largest in the world featuring over 1,000 participants. This is the groups sixth championship in the 17 they've competed in under leadership from coaches Jacinda Bullie and Jaquanda Villegas. The competition itself features 120 groups from various high school, middles schools and other community based groups. The competition is made up 5 weeks of events in bracket-style "bouts" that caps off with finals at the Auditorium Theatre at Roosevelt University. The #LTAB17 was also the #1 Trending Topic in Chicago throughout the competition.

Chance The Rapper Clarifies 'Coloring Book' Apple Deal

Feeling the need to "correct folks" who "tried to discredit his independent" Chance The Rapper tweeted details about his deal with Apple surrounding the release of his mixtape 'Coloring Book' release on May 13th, 2016. Apple Music gave the raper $500,000 and a financed TV Commercial in exchange for exclusive rights to the project's release for the first 2 weeks. It was made immediately on other outlets like Soundcloud and Spotify after the deal was done. Chance tweeted "I needed the money and they're all good people over there" when talking about Apple. 'Coloring Book' went to win 'Best Rap Album' at the 2017 Grammys and was the first 'streaming only' album in history to recieve Grammy Nominations.
