The Cool Kids and The Evening Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago have announced that the influential hip-hop duo will make their much anticipated 'live show' return to the Windy City on November 18th, 2016. The event itself titled 'After Dark: Xtra Loud', an amped up version of the longstanding event series 'After Dark', allows guests to “see the Art Institute in a new light.” The event held monthly, has sold out consistently since its origin in 2009, hosting over 1,200+ guest each month. The event held in The Modern Wing features emerging music, engaging gallery tours, live entertainment, cocktails and more. The evening's festivities will begin with a conversation with The Cool Kids at Rubloff Auditorium at Art Institute of Chicago from 8:00-9:00PM. Chuck and Mikey will speak with DJ White Shadow about their own stories as creators and how it connects to the works of Kemang Wa Lehulere, who's exhibit 'In All My Wildest Dreams" is current featured in The Modern Wing.

The Cool Kid's return is the first notable Chicago show as a pair since Chuck Inglish and Sir Michael Rocks amicably "broke up" to pursue respective solo careers. In April 2015, Rock's tweeted the duo was "never coming back." However - this past summer July 2016, Inglish confirmed the group was getting back together. The Cool Kids released the single "Running Man" featuring Maxo Kream on September 17th, 2016. A new project, their first since their debut When Fish Ride Bicycles which was released in2011, is reportedly in the works.

Music platform ReverbNation has offered up an opportunity to perform as the support act for the much anticipated event.
