Freako • Vacation EP
I don't know much about Freako, but the Chicago rapper first grabbed my attention last month with the single "Summer". Mixing vaporwave instrumentation with yacht vibes, the track features fellow Chicagoan Adot. Now, Freako returns with the three song Vacation EP. Featuring Adot yet again in the middle track "Bool", the EP contains more of that atmospheric rap. That smoke an ounce and mold to the couch rap. Lush, Curren$y-esque vibes, where the flips and loops automatically make you cool as soon as you press play. "Wave" is a personal favorite on this EP, but all three songs act as a fine intro to an upcoming Chicago talent. Don't sleep.
