Whitney • "Golden Days"

Directed by Josiah Marshall and Frank Frankowski

If you've paid a visit to this site over the course of the last month, you'll know that our March cover story subject is buzzing Chicago rock band Whitney. While March is coming to a close, the group has done plenty to deem them worthy of this month's attention. From a European tour to plenty of shows at SXSW, they have continued to be the topic of conversation, most recently by releasing their music video for “Golden Days”.

Following “No Woman”, “Golden Days” acts as the group's second official video. Rather than taking the “single first, video second” approach, Whitney's two videos have both come before the official audio. That being said, “Golden Days” did first appear on the interwebs after it was performed at CMJ's Fader Fort.

With the release of the unique music video (one that toys with vintage split screens) comes the announcement that Whitney will be releasing their debut album, Light Upon the Lake, on June 3 through Secretly Canadian. It will without a doubt be soundtracking my entire summer.
