Sometimes I forget that artists are based out of Chicago when I'm only familiar with them within the realm of SoundCloud. Such is the case for the talented producer Harris Cole, who has seemingly been gaining more and more traction with each release. His most recent drop arrived in the form of "pause/chapsitkc" [sic], which acts as the lead single for his upcoming LP Pause. The song is about as ambient and mellow as they come, slowly progressing and gaining speed until fading out and returning to peace. You won't hear drums for two minutes and that's perfectly fine here. It's all about the experience. This is one to light a candle to, to play before you head off to Slumberland, to send to a friend who needs to chill out a bit. I can't wait to hear what Pause will sound like, but if this lead single is any indication, it's looking like it'll be perfect for the quiet, late night changing of the seasons.
