Roy French • VROOM

A Independently released Project by Roy French.

Speeding into the week is south side native Roy French with VROOM. Yes, the new album has arrived. Featuring singles like “Jakobe” and “Tommy Pickles,” French has been heavily pushing this release for the past few months. His first project since The Legend of Lil Lit nine months ago, VROOM includes that saucy vibe French has been creating since 2014. Production features work from Brentrambo, Uglyfriend, DJ BADMIRAL, MooXe, CT, and Kyle. Listen from start to finish, notice how the energy transitions from smooth to dark bass heavy beats. Two of my favorite songs on the project, “sorrynotsorry” and “Thai Kwon Do,” are the only ones without a production credit attached. Roy being no stranger to beat making, I imagine the aforementioned as his silent triumph on the album.

Along with marketing the project, Roy has gotten more in tune with his fashionable talents. Showcasing a variety of motorsport inspired clothing designs, the Drip Gang affiliate is, and has been doing more than just music. As he prepares for a live appearance this Saturday at Citlalin Gallery and Theater in Pilsen, let VROOM combat these mopey April showers until then and go check out what he has in store for his fans. Roy's live performance is anything but dull.
