Local Non-Profit StreetWise Associates Board Hosts Open Call For Chicago Talent

The StreetWise Associates Board is hosting an open call to local Chicago musicians to perform at their 5th annual benefit to support StreetWise. The event titled The COOL Party (short for "Creative Outlets of Life") will be hosted at Chop Shop & 1st Ward Events on Saturday, June 23rd. StreetWise assists Chicago’s homeless men and women in achieving personal stability and strength through social services. Most Chicagoans are familiar with SteetWise vendors selling StreetWise magazine around the city. On top of vendors selling the magazine at a profit, StreetWise offers additional services like temporary housing, financial education, computer literacy courses and more. The COOL Party brings together not only supporters of StreetWise, but the Chicago community at large, for an evening of music, entertainment, raffle prizes, a curated art show and more.

A submission form for bands, musicians, rappers, DJs, etc. interested in performing at this summer celebration can be found below. Past performers have included Malcolm London, DJ Timmy V, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers, among others.

Early bird tickets are on-sale now for $45 (ends April 30th, 2018). Regular admission is $65.00. Tickets come with 2 raffle tickets and includes an open bar and food. More information and tickets are available at ChopShopChi.com.
