Whitney to Make Late Show Debut with Colbert, HOMME transitions to OHMME, Chance to Headline Governors Ball
Whitney Starts of 2017 with Their First Late Night Performance
Chicago band Whitney will perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday, January 5th at 10:30PM CST. The group's 2016 release Light Upon the Lake rocketed the group to stardom with worldwide touring, major festival bookings and critical acclaim. Their debut album was #7 on our These Days Top 10 Chicago Albums of 2016. This is Whitney's first television appearance and performance.
HOMME Takes A Breath, Transitions to OHMME
Chicago duo HOMME have announced they have officially changed their name to OHMME. The group made up of Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart are expected to have a big year after the success of 2016 which was packed with live shows and touring. 2017 should see an official release, as the group's last project was their self-titled EP in 2015.
The two made the announcement on their social media, which can be read in full below.

The Orwells to Rock Out at Governors Ball, Chance Gets Top Billing
Chance The Rapper and The Orwells will represent Chicago at this year's Governors Ball Music Festival. The massive event is held at on June 2nd-4th on Randall's Island Park in New York City. Chance The Rapper will be a headliner and it's evident with top line billing. The Orwells will perform in support of their new album Terrible Human Beings, which will be release February 17th, 2017. Chance The Rapper will of course be touring in support of his 2016 release Coloring Book. Additional performances range from Childish Gambino to Wiz Khalifa, Tool to Phoenix and Flume to Lorde (one of her first festival performances in North America since 2014).
