Musa Reems • "Not With Gang"

Chicago's Musa Reems may not be in mentioned in the "next up" conversations, and this is quite possibly the first you're hearing his name, but he's my favorite type of artist to watch. Someone who's been at it a while, sticking with it, and seeing the fruits of his labor in every 16. Whether it's getting his feet wet as 1/3 of the Children of I.L.L.I.O.S., or preparing to embark on his solo career as he's doing now, Musa is clearly taking his time and making sure his records sound great.

Although certainly nothing to scoff at, Musa's tongue twisting bars aren't the only thing that make his new single "Not With Gang" so hot. Assisting Musa on the first single from his upcoming project Where The Sun Never Rises is producer Nversive who we've seen craft production for another new favorite of ours, Amare Symoné. He's also got Jabari Rayford of Soundscape Studios and Collin Jordan of The Boiler Room making him sound so crispy, and Nick Visuals adding an additional element to this song about the homies. The message is simple, you either is or you ain't with gang, and if you ain't you can't sit with us.
