Isaiah G • "Flea Flicker"
Life isn’t a round of NFL Blitz, although sometime it doesn’t hurt to hold your breath and let the ball fly. Isaiah G may not be Chicago’s most known element, but he’s making a name for himself with his unique raps and beat selection, consistently offering a sound that is different than what else is out there right now. Like the best artists, he’s not afraid to try something against the grain, in this case embracing a beat that’s extremely low key but chock full of little flourishes, (a Mario coin sound in the background, for example). Much like this post, the song is short and sweet, but offers a great way of getting familiar with the artist Isaiah G if you haven’t yet. The most important takeaway here is that he’s obviously got a good ear for making a song, and “Flea Flicker” offers proof that Isaiah G is out here taking chances.
