And we’re pleased to say they’ve come back, this time for a premiere of their new song “I Kno”. This is, yet again, New Kingz showing a new side of themselves, in a constant state of reinvention. Don’t be worried, it’s not too new, and any New Kingz fans are sure to love this. But it is completely admirable when an artist or artists don’t let themselves get comfortable, and that’s where you find the real success.

How did you, Ali and Lucas G, start making music together?
We met about to throw hands in the middle of this rap battle in high school. Turns out we both fucked with OutKast so it got bool from there.
What’s the story behind “I Kno”?
The story behind "I Kno" is self motivation. New Kingz always aims to inspire and uplift our fans, this one was written as an ode to Ali's brother currently incarcerated with messages of strength, endurance & perseverance. We just went to cook with Dougy one day as he made the track from scratch. Ultimately it's a theme song to honor those who are working toward their goals.
The production is really impressive. How has it been working with Dougy so consistently?
It's like we've got a very good team behind us every time we work. Dougy has been an invaluable part of us pushing the sound further.
You’ve premiered a number songs with us and they all move differently. How has your sound evolved since you two came together? And what were you going for with "I Kno"?
We've grown a lot as people and artists since our last premiere. So the confidence is heightened and our messages have become more solid & cohesive. We've also developed a better friendship so the chemistry on each track has improved. With "I Kno" we wanted to create a really dreamy track that allows the listeners to get lost in it... But still something you genuinely like singing along to. At the end of the day it's about spreading love, which is something we really need at this moment.
